Prices.

Normal Edition: 49.99$

Digital Deluxe Edition: 69.99$

Collectors Edition: 149.99$ (Yeah...I know...)

So, Digital Deluxe for me, includes all the bonuses. I was going to buy the CE, as I love GW, but 150$ is far to much for the extras you get.

3x the price of the normal edition for an art book, a OST, and a statue. Even if it is a 10-inch statue.

Weird to note; there will be no physical copies of the game, save CE.

Yay finally!

Well, its basically a rerun of Skyrim for me, way too expensive to get the CE. I just checked out the Deluxe Edition, and while it has some good stuff, most of it is just temporary. I will stick with the Normal Edition and save money for an expansion.

Never been a Guild Wars fan personally. Reason why is because they have a very low level limitation. I wonder what the max level will be in this game?

LvL 80 is the max for now. Besides who cares about the levels, play it because its messing up every form of MMO trope there is to mess up.

Skyrider, the point of the low level was so you didn't spend much time on it...

Other MMO's where you grind for 8 hours a day for a month to get max level be boooring. Sure, in a game like FFXI, it makes sense.

Guild Wars was all about player skill, sad the people looked at the low level cap and thought that meant less content. There was tons.

Guild Wars 2 will be amazing.

Correct. You only need to buy the game once. You are then free to play it for the remainder of your lifetime, servers withstanding.

Do they actually look after their games properly?

Or is it made and ditched because you aren't paying for it anymore

People aren't excited after GW2 just because it is doing things differently. Most of the hype is from previous players of GW. Mkil can explain better since he has played the game over a 1000 hours. Simply put, they are going to constantly update the game based on feedback. Read up on their blog, it will make for interesting and enjoyable reading. http://www.guildwars2.com/en/

They are going to have cosmetic Cash shops. So its not like they aren't getting any form of long term return.

Ahh so there is the option to spend real money but it's not required.

Can these items still be purchased with in game money?

Before Valve was doing hats, Guild Wars original already had costumes for sale in their shop.

Well.

Add to the fact that Gabe was a millionaire already when he left Microsoft, founded one of the most successful and influential video game companies of the 90's, helped make modding more main stream, delivered upon fans, and if people will cite failure to Valve, it is usually L4D2 or Episode 3; which is hardly anything comapred to others.

He's rich best well, you know, people like him. He proves you can become rich as **** without screwing your customers over.
