I have Noticed a Speed increased. and because I am from POrt Lincoln. and the bushfires nocked out all Telecommunications today. and the power being out. and Adsl only connecting at a slow 256k. I did still notice a Performance Increase. well done. and I think you should keep it here.

This server is the "old" ESF forum server. You should not be seeing this page.

Although I knew that the link was always forum.esforces.com, I always used to get in here the old way (www.esforces.com/forum )

The move is to test out the speed of our Australian network for US residents and others. If the test goes all to plan, then we will move the site + forums to a new faster server in our new Perth DC around the 1st of Feb.

Well I live in Florida... It seems to be doing the same as before... I dont notice any diffrence :\ Then again I am on a school comp (their ment to have fast internet)... But its not like I have internet at home anymore...

The webmaster resides in Australia (Greg), and that's where all the web and server stuff is located.

Can't tell any difference in speed over here, so I got nothing to complain about.

I don't know whether the server is to blame for this, but I can't upload an avatar. It's 99x99 pixels and just 3.6kb.

This comes up when I try to:

You're the 3rd person I've heard complain that they can't upload an avatar. Its not just you. I think Cuc said it was to do with VBulletin

Whenever the forum moves, new priveleges need to be set on the server for the avatars to route to the right folder. It gets forgotten, but not for long. Greg is aware of it and will get to it when he has time.

Yes, this server is only temporary, and thus a new one will be setup by next Monday (Dual Opteron beast) and all that will go bye bye.

Well everything works okay for me, i only got once some weird mesage of "you shouldn't be here old emu's are roaming" or some very odd message, and i couldn't enter..

but that was a few weeks ago, now its working good.
