So I'm not really sure what is happening here, but every once in a while my computer will start to really slow down, so I check my processes menu, and I have like 3 or 4 instances of firefox.exe running. Anyone have any idea on why these processes aren't ending after I close the program? Or why it happens sometimes and sometimes it doesn't?

I haven't had that problem with Firefox before, but I had the same problem with Winamp awhile ago. Every time I closed the program, the process would remain running. If the process was running, Winamp would take ~1 minute to open again.

To be honest, I don't know exactly what fixed it. I upgraded to the current version, and the problem went away. I'd say reinstall, but you've probably already tried that. =/

Are you using 1.0.7 or 1.5(beta1 or 2, rc1 or rc2)?.
