For those who might think FF7 is being remade, it's not. Just read a PSM magazine saying that square-enix isnt going to re make it at all. They might if they decide to do it later on, but right now they said no

but daaaaaaaaaayum, looks great o/

That could true, but ingame shots of zack and sephy may mean they're doing a prequel... i dunno.

the June Issue of EGM stated otherwise. I generally dont trust psm, they tend to make up stuff [from my experiance with them anyway]

It's not a remake, it's a prequel to Final Fantasy 7.

Well, i dont think so, if they're going to the trouble to advertise it in magazines, slapping its own new logo on there and stuff, it's not just a tech demo. I mean FF13 shows how capable they are of making something that good. Why go to the trouble of making a tech demo including FF7 characters? Plus the fact that you can tell its ingame from the captions.

[please understand im trying to tell kain its not a tech demo in this post in no way am i thinking about this being a remake]

Yup, i dont mean, ingame as in, running around, but they're definately some sort of cutscene from a game. Plus, it looks like its an explaination about zack and sephiroth story.... All the concept art too, it just leads me into thinking that there's a FF7 prequel at least, planned.

Yeah I'll definitly gonna get Crisis Core for my PSP. It will be an Action game with RPG elements from what I've heard. A prequel to FF7 based on the Last Order anime episode where you play Zack.
And FF13 looks pretty nice too, but what I find weird is that they show the girl in every pictures while I have already read somewhere I thought that she isn't the main character, though she does play an important role. Well whatever...she looks hawt o/

I seriously don't understand why Square doesn't want to remake both FF7 and Chrono Trigger. They would make some MAJOR money if they remade those games, since both Chrono Trigger and FF7 fans will be buying those games just for the sake of better graphics. (block hands anyone?)

I hope Pink-hair McSwordy isn't the main character for FFXIII. I know we've got FFX-2 with (non-continuitous) Yuna and two other females, but seriously, enough. Unless the role can be deep and involving like many of FF's male leads then it's going to be the same story on a different game.

All three characters fit into three perfect boxes made of stereotype and wrapped in predictability. I'd rather take the cliche 'Moody, mysterious stranger man' any day rather than grind my teeth through more peppy dialogue and exciteable, undeveloped anime-style characters.
