What's your favourite ST series? Mine is the Original Series; dunno why, there's just something about it that I like more than the other ones

The Next Generation all the way. I've watched more of that (the full thing actually) as compared to some of the other ones and in my opinion - there is no scope for comparison.

/me votes for TnG

Voyager, followed closely by DS9. :S Enterprise killed just about all my interest in Star Trek now though.

TNG first. Voyager, then Enterprise. DS9 really wasn't my cup of tea.

Has to be TNG, allthough the last episodes of DS9 and Voyager rocked... never got into enterprise though, i think they tried to add to much to it... well, there on about stopping enterprise at the end of series 3 anyway.

TNG or DS9. Please don't include Enterprise, as it is the equivalent of DragonBallGT. Made without any story of the original creator or with their artistic vision.

DeepSpace9 and Voyager were made after Gene Roddenbury's death, but their stories were taken from scripts that he had created.

<TABLE style=filter:glow(color=red, strength=#+10)>Enterprise is the first series to have no special 'touch' by Roddenbury. It's filmed fanfiction and nothing more. Blah. </TABLE>

DS9 is the best. It had a really good story and was not the usual federation crap like all the others. Also there was a HUGE war in it... none of the other seires can come close to DS9 in my books.

TNG for me, followed by DS9 and Voyager in the same position (I liked them both in a different manner - DS9 for the politics/war, Voyager for...well....for itself :p).

I would have to say voyager, then tng, I never liked ds9, to much talk (from what I saw, never saw the war thing) I like voyager because its so different from all the others, and plus, it has alot intersesting parts.

ps. is it just me or does tng travel through time ALOT

They have 'time space warp fluctuations' or whatever every 3 episodes or so

Hey, it's easy plot material

I'd have to say TNG overall, although I can't really stand Star Trek anymore, especially the new one with Scott Bakula. Personally, I think the best thing about Star Trek is the early movies, with the exception of the absolutely dire Star Trek V, of course.

DS9 only started to become good when they introduced the Dominon War, which was obviously a blatant attempt to emulate the wave of success that came from Babylon 5's Shadow War. (Indeed, many would argue that the whole concept of DS9 was essentially lifted from Bab5, but I don't think there's a lot of basis behind that claim.)

In fairness, though, for all the adulation Babylon 5 recieves, it was also pretty crap until they introduced the war. Just goes to show how incapable most sci-fi writers are these days at constructing interesting stories where the characters aren't blasting eachother with phasers for 40 minutes.
