ESF Steam Pack

woaw got a problem here.. i dont have the client.dll
any where in my steam folder.. i dont wanna haft to reinstall HL from disk to get it
any clue on how to fix?

client.dll error is caused by the fmod.dll in the half-life folder
its either because u dont have it
or u recently installed sven coop

download that and place it in your half-life folder

Cause WON will be shut down, so people are moving onto Steam (slowly but surely). Plus steam has nice features like the Messanger that comes with it so it is easier to find people and join your friend's game. I think Steam is fine, they've fixed the problems with it so its not that bad anymore .

Yes, Steam is slowly fixing the bugs. But I assure you, that steam will be very succesful once all the problems are solved. I can play now WON and Steam. I prefere WON easier to beat on those servers. I like Steam. it's not that bad.

I think I'll make a Steam installer for you guys . Might be more newb friendly.

Just put that file into esf\gfx\shell and replace the old one and you are set .

You guys are acting like 1.2 isn't being developed in Steam...

I suggest you all start downloading Steam now if you haven't so you can avoid getting even slower downloads later on when everyone is rushing to get the latest version...

Probably wouldn't be worth spending time on it when WON will be shut down. It's not making it compatible, but just testing it to make sure there aren't any bugs would be time consuming.
