Esf open beta help !!

hi i have a problem with esf open beta

when i want to create a new game it throws me out and then appear a message on my console:

Could not establish connection to Steam servers (steamclient).
LAN servers are restricted to local clients (class C)

and when i want to connect to a server (secure and unsecure) there appears an error:

This server is using a newer protocol ( 48 ) than your client ( 47 ). You should check for updates to your client

please help what should i do ..

Use STEAM ^^

If you are using it then force it to update by deleting the file named clientregistry.blob and restarting it.

i use steam and i uptadet it already but it doesnt work .. what shall i do ?

Try download it again or re-install it ?

maybe its because my half life 1 is not from steam ..

ive downloaded it .. and i have no cd key for hl 1 ..

i cant play esf open beta,1.2.3,1.1 in the inteernet on servers ..

You can only play LAN unless you buy the game and get's an legal cd-key / registration

Its simple. If you dont use STEAM to play ESF then all problems you encounter are your own responsibility.

We offer no support to piracy for multiple reasons. One of them beeing the host would kick uss off his hosting list if we did. But there are other reasons to.
