Well, if you want programs with which you can make music, I know a little bit. None of them are free but you can usually get demos. The only program I've used is Fruity Loops, which is very easy to learn and use without a midi input. Another more complicated program is called Reason, which I'm looking into getting.

Steinberg Reason is some heavy **** ... and i highly suggest a midi keyboard when you want to make music.

Yeah. Well here's my advice: I highly suggest a musical instrument, too. Hehe.

Well, you'll learn piano basics anyway ;P But a single instrument isn't a band :p Reason basically is :p Using it's basic soundbanks and soundfonts, you can create just about any sound.

the mp3's were made by a group called "The Faulty". They have a link on the main page.

If the mp3s are punk they were made by The Faulty.

If they are the older trance tracks they were made by Lanethan. When he made those tracks he actually played real instruments and fed them into the computer. If you'd like to know any more detail about how he made them you'll have to track him down. I haven't talked to him in over a year. Last I heard he was trying to get signed by a record company...so.. good luck :-D
