ESF Crashing Problem

I just deleted the hard drive on this computer, and re-installed half-life. I tried joining a half-life game, and it worked fine. Then I proceeded to install ESF. I then installed the new bots, and tried to join a game.

Problem: When I join a game, several seconds after I get to the 1st screen for choosing my team/character, my whole computer freezes. I tried pressing Esc, but then realized it wasn't just my screen that froze. It was my whole computer, therefore I couldn't do anything but restart it with the power button.

I have already tried re-installing ESF, but it didn't do anything. Anyone have any ideas that could help me? Please reply A.S.A.P., I really wanna play ESF again. Thanks.:)

Edit:

Dear god will no one respond?!?!?!?!?!!?!:(

lower the resolution, the color depth and use openGL
sounds like your video card overheats by playing ESF
check the cooling system on your vid card, and set the frequenziey to normal or lower them

if this dosn't help install newest DirectX + newest VideoCard driver + OS Updates

Whats OS? And how do I lower my colour depth??

I've done/don't need to do the rest.

BTW, I don't think it's my video card that's the problem, considering I can play Warcraft III without a problem, which requires a lot more than ESF.
