Alright, I am pretty friggin sick of this community's server hosters, and I'd like to explain why.

The permanent server host's servers absolutely suck. They crash almost on routine it seems.

As for all the undedicated servers out there this community is full of a bunch of d!cks. I go into server #1 I am kicked before I even get to pick a team.

I enter server #2 Its a 4 player server and I'm the forth player yet for some reason while my teammate is just sitting in the middle of the map waiting to fight I am getting 2 on 1'd by our opponenets. I tell them that it isnt necessary to double team me when there is another player on my team to attack. They ignore and continue. So I switch to their team so naturally the guy goes 'bye john' and right before he kicks me I got my ex-teammate attacking me standing sitll waiting to be kicked while hes got 2 guy's on his ass. Idiots.

Then I go to server 3. I'm kicked from some FP clan guy who thinks I crashed his server just becuz I insulted his clan before I left. Well I'm sorry but when a clan is to afraid to fight eachother and forces everyone that isnt in their clan on the other team then they obviously cant be a very good clan unless they wanted to have a lil scrimmage (which they didnt cocicder it was 4 clan guys verse me and my anonyamos teammate). I explained that before I left and now he thinks I crashed his server.

I enter server #4, every1's getting 800 ping. Bye.

Server #5 is passworded.

Server #6 is passworded.

I enter server #7 and I meet an interesting admin. Some fool who makes it a rule to 'limit' melee. But what he is really trying to say is, "Anyone can melee anyone they want as long as it isn't me." So when you get into a battle with the guy and you charge up a beam he melees you. How does that make fruckin sense? If you want to play by your own rules when someone charges a beam you can block, dodge, or counter. *******, when I explain this to him, its 'bye john'.

Thats it. Those are the 7 types of servers ESF runs.

You may say, "Why John. if this community is such a problem for you why dont you use bots or play on a lan." Then I answer so kindly back, "Well good friend, as you may alreayd know bots do not only suck but they are less than fun and dont help you improve your skills and I dont have enough people around me that play half life to start a lan."

Thats purely why the ESF hosts suck. Thank you, and good day.

Well!

Why not try arranging a game with some of the forum regulars? The most honest and enthusiastic players seem to end up here. Try PM'ing some ppl, or go on the IRC channel and arrange a game LIVE with some other players. Everybody from the forums that I have met in combat act in no way like the people you mentioned above.

And next time, do not take your wrath out on the ESF team/community...they can't control that a their servers may crash your Half Life, they certainly haven't for me...not everybody in the world is going to be fair, just deal with them, or find a better, more fun way out of it.

1) People can make there own rules on there own servers.
2) It is beta 1... B.E.T.A so that means it is not perfect and it will crash.
3) JUST MAKE YOUR OWN SERVER AND WAIT FOR PEOPLE TO JOIN IT!

the problem is that not everyone can make a server , like me, i am behind a router. and my bro wont let me allow to make server, and i dont have mutch upload speed

John you should get a Server, Put some cool stuff in it (Ex:Hooking,Fireworks)
And just Put somehting cool as the server name, so people will join
When they do, make your own rules,they dont like it, you take care of them
As much advice i can give ya, except maybe you could deal with the ESF Severs...

0 ping gives too much of an unfair advantage. Thats why I always join servers and go up against the host. You are right, I shouldnt be blaming esforces.com for the bad server it doesnt crahs my HL it just times me out every 4 to 10 minutes.

Hsu, people can make their own rules, but the way they handle a server and act on it reflexes off their personality and in general the communutity has a bad personality. Making a mod is half the battle, to truly enjoy it you have to have half decent homosapians in the playroom with you.

yeh.. know this prob... But fortunately, ot not.. depending how ya look at it, I only play a little cause lack of time.. And then on friends servers.

Either I'm a server or one of my buddies.. In the last case I usually have rcon so thats fixed aswell.
