esf 1.1 installer...

Well I downloaded the esf11beta from fileplanet, and when I opened it it freezes at the searching for previously installed compents part. I am *POSITIVE* it's not my computer, but I'm not sure what the hell is wrong...

If anyone knows please help.

Here's my pc stats just in case:

Windows 2000
Intel Pentium 4, 2.0 ghz
1024 MB Intel Ram
g force 4 440 MX

Well I never let it go more then 5 minutes so I will try and let it sit longer. Thanks

Well it works now, but in game I get a HL error and it crases :cry: Why me? Maybe someone can help me with this..

the installer searches for a file called hl.exe ... it searches on your whole HDD ... so it depends on your HDD's speed, on your HDD's size and on the fragmention of your HDD
I think this will be changed in next installer

there was another thread which contains exactly this ... lease use search button next time

about HL crashing ... browse this (Help) section and maybe "Coding/ Bug Report" if "Help" couldn't help you with your problem
