Error while initializing and downloading

Its been a while since i hadnt played esf, i tried to connect to a server but when the Initializing and Downloading sign appears,a HL error ocurrs, its strange because the mp3 starts to play like if the game started but there is no change. When i accept the error, it sends me back to desktop. Ive played esf before in the same computer, i didnt do anything to the computer.

Most of the other threads talk about protocol stuff or some file missing, or simpli desktop change, this is non like them.

Help...

then it's not the clients fault ...
remaining possibilities: your connection - the server you joined

I think if it would be your connection you would have recognized it already anyhow ... and the game wouldn't crash ... it would disconnect you after a while ...

so I'm still thinking that it was the server you tried to join
