You good? Alright, so here's the deal. These guys at Bethesda? They have a job, right. And their job is to make games. Now, they want these games to sell, because they want to make money. So what they do is, and this is important so pay attention, they spend a lot of time and effort, but more importantly, money, making these kinds of games. But its literally their job. They're not going above and beyond. They're doing whats expected of them. Once upon a time, we expected as much from all games, but then we entered the Call of Duty generation of gaming, and I'm not talking about the original CoD 1/2. I remember when all games were ridiculously long, either due to difficulty or just sheer length. So good on Bethesda for doing their job.
But that's where it ends. I am not obligated to give them my money. They decided to take a chance by making an mmo. Hope it works out for them. It isn't up my alley, though and, much like with Kotor, I want a single player game. Not a shitty mmo. If they want my money, I want results. I can't enjoy effort.
Unless you're power leveling your buddy, I don't see how or why those two levels would be grouped. But if they were for some ridiculous reason, the point of dynamic difficulty is to look at the stats and abilities of both players, and then find a happy medium so you don't have one guy being a leech and the other guy doing all the work. You don't make it even harder so one guy is useless and the other guy is struggling the entire time because both the level of the enemies and their numbers have increased. In CoH, for example, the number of enemies increased with the number of players in your party depending on the difficulty. If you chose a harder difficulty, there'd be less enemies, but they'd be significantly harder.
