im not gonna buy it if theres no transformations. that takes out a huge strategic part of the fight. i mean, everyones just gonna pick the most powerful transformation to fight with, and kick the other guys ass.

i liked being able to transform mid fight, or indeed force the other player into de-transforming =/

Well in the other game the only transes that really mattered were sjj4,sjj vs a normal person really didnt matter. The only B3 character that has an auto advantage, and is nearly impossible to be in Z3 mode is Omega Shenron.Everyone else i could woop *** with say, nappa,or 17.Yup i can woop anyone with any character in b3,no matter teh transformation exept omega shenron.Well i did only try like twice but still, transes only gave you like a 5 or 10% power booste per trans.Fusions were what made the difference.I will buy this game with or without transformations in it.

Characters are trainable so the msot powerful char is the one you make it out to be, the ki system etc is changed so its not always power that will win it for you.

Note this is not a juggle fest anymore, moves are dodgeable besides the teleporting and or sidestepping, and using the elements plays a huge role int he fights now.

you know your right Mogwai, you can always do those things, abuse some of the new features and what not,i mean we all saw a video of kid buu getting beat by normal vegeta right.Kid buu is how strong,as strong as a ssj3(dead even with goku) and vegeta normal realy is no match for any buu,but he one that match,i am confindent that in this game i will be able to own the computer using normal characters, even if the computer are gt or movie villians.

I just find it truly sad that people complain about no trans's think of it this way, instead of having a big move list its smaller, and more intuned to that specific char.

Wanna pump up the size of the gallick gun, and its power alright then! Although i don't think it would apply to finalshine as if it was all just in power then would it?

I don't mind no in-game transes as long as the characters are balanced, IE an SSJ4 Vegeta could be defeated by Jeice, for instance. Then the transes would just be eye-candy.

I honestly don't care if there are in-game transes or not anymore, I just want to play this game, right now. :p

Yea im gonna get it asap, cant wait for it,besides one other thing about no in game transes (which pretty much were just eye candy)You can pick ppl in a certain form you want,Ussj Trunks vs Ussj Vegeta, now that would be a fun fight,or ssj3 goku vs mystic gohan,or even Bojack (green trans form) vs Janemba (demon form not fat(duh)).That would make not having transes worth it.Its like saying i wouldnt play esf if it didnt have in game transes,i wouldnt care to much i love esf and would play it either way.

What the hell is with the camera angle? Is it a 3rd person game or a fighter? Besides the retarded camera angle the game doesn't look half bad. I don't see the advantage in not being able to see who your fighting.
Anyway, let's just hope it's not like the Budokai series, in that it doesn't suck and is a little challenging.

Quoted for truth.

I think this camera angle is the best they could have done with a game like this. You can still see what's ahead of you without your character getting in the way too much. First-person obviously wouldn't play as well in a game like this.

This doesn't suck. What WOULD have sucked however was a normal third-person view, where the camera is pointed at the back of your character like in ESF. Your character would obscure your view of the surroundings. If you lock-on in Budokai Tenkaichi, the view shifts so your character doesn't get in the way. I know this because I've seen in in the clips.

I quote you for truth as well, everything you two said was dead on.The sjj2 gohan is looking kind of funny, only his hair but im sure after using him ill like it.It will grow on me for sure.Cant wait for this game.I also hope they added more combos then the last game, that would be a litte dissapointing if they didnt.

Ok ill try and answer this the best way i can.

This game is not a fighting game, it has fighting in it but its under the genre of DBZ game, the burst mode is meant to look like the zipping around fists flying motions, whereas b3's fighting was suppose to stay true to the show hah!

The fighting in this one there are some combos that can be modified with the combo modifier still not sure how sure it will be explained later, but the fighting system is mainly gradeschool when it comes to basic stuff. There are no more combos for kamehas gallick guns etc, its all hold L2+ whatever button combination.

It's more like Zone of The Enders than a traditional fighting game, you have a set of easy to pull of attacks, some combos, and you're free to fly wherever the hell you like. You use your attacks and stuff to attack all the while using your mobility to dodge your enemy's attacks. It doesn't look quite as smooth as ZOE's fighting system but it comes pretty close.

I have spent too much money to be too dissapointed by crappy dbz games. ESF is the only one that hooked me.

the amount of times ZOE has been compared to BT in this thread, we might as well put a ZOE advert banner at the top of each page :p
