You never played Dear Esther?

Was a Mod for Source, then Valve liked it so much, as I said about, gave them a license.

Don't expect any gameplay. It's an "experience" you get to inhabit and explore an interesting and atmospheric world.

It's really good though. It makes you have a sense of wonder; like when you were a kid again. You feel like something amazing is happening, but you're not quite sure. It unnerves you...

It's a unique experience I recommend to everyone looking for something deep.

But I don't really see the point of Dear Esther unless this "experience" is telling a profound story, or giving me the ability to do things I otherwise can't do in reality.

I haven't viewed the trailer, so it might be really ******* stupid, and I apologize if it is, but:

It has a story. There is constant narration going on in the background (some of the best I might add). We are on an Island for a reason, but its up to us players to find out why we are there.

I've played the mod, it was amazing and very different than normal. There are certain "anomalies" in the "game", its not just going from one place to the other.

See, now I'm interested again. MK made it sound like Myst, minus everything enjoyable about the game.

Why not get an audio book and go for a walk outside?
