Connection Problem (only small. plz help)

Ok i begin to connect to an internet game but then it goes to 11seconds and says it timed out, How do i change the ti9me out time? or how do i fix this? :S

Good luck changing the time out time... I believe that's hard coded into half life. If it's timing out, either your internet connection isn't strong enough on your end, or the server went down while you were connecting. If it's happening on every server you should probably check and see if it's happening with every half life modification you've got. If it's just happening in half life and not your other games, reinstall half life.

Well ive got a 2mb connection and it only happenbs ine sf, all other mods load and connect onto servers fine
