i don't know if this is a suggestion but here it goes. do you know in the show and in like almost all the movies one of the characters would fire a beam really close i mean hes only like 6 feet away from the person hes attacking and he don't get hurt. now in ESF youe not even close and you get hurt by your own beam. now i don't know how you would get this to work or what you coud do but i was thinking that maybe it was possible to get close to a person and fire a beam or ball and not get hurt like a speacial way of firing it so it doesn't hit you too. im pretty sure everyone knows what im taking about(atleast i hope they do).

This has been suggested by many people before, I liek the idea, but I think that when the beam is shot within a certain range of someone, and it hits him, it sorta peirces him, then you lose control of the attack, then it blows up like 80 meters away.

i mean like everyone remembers the time durring the cell saga when goku fire fully charged kamehameha at cell and hes only like 3 feet away and he doesn't get hurt. i mean i don't know how this could work in ESF but it would be cool to do something similar to it. because i hate charging a beam and someone sneaks from behind and charges you and you fire it at him and you both die i hate that i know if this was added it may be sapmmed cause somone could just power up and sit there and wait for somone to charge the shoot them when they were close. hmmm maybe there can be alittle health lose like 15 or 20 hp.

Yeah, it would be nice but the team has always said that it would be cheap and way over used.

It would unbalance the game as people will keep spamming beams at meleers, and it would refrain people from using melee, which is the fun part....

So I say....no....

Just assign one beam attack to each character that can be fired without injury when in close proximity, and code it so the cool down time is a little high. Sure you can smack that melee fighter with it before he can hit you, but if he's determined, he can swoop in immediately afterward and smack you around if you try it again.

they should make it that it doesnt always explode when hitting some 1, if u see the saiyan saga goku vs vegeta, then they do a HUGE powerstruggle....vegeta loses and the kamehameha doesnt explode but travels farther with vegeta on top of it, something like this with a ball also happend in the kid buu saga

It will make people have to add tedchnique to meleeing, instead of point and click twice. ;P

A Big Problem solver would be to just make the beams themself do most of the damage, not the explosions.

And ofcourse make rightclicking detach the beam, not blow up the beam, as this is being overused bigtime, blocking is becoming less viable these days as more and more persons just blow their beams up 3 ft. infront of you.

yes now thats a huge issue i like the idea of blowing up my beams but detaching them makes more sence in my opinion

No no no no NO.

The best idea would be if the beam's sphere of explosion affects you similarly to a realy weak melee hit. You get flung away and hit walls for damage. When the beam hits a player they get more damage.

Wow, that is a really bad idea, I don't know why I just made it. :0\
