Client.dll missing

coold not load library C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\[email protected]\half-life\esf\Cl_dll\client.dll
and i cant load it. ...it IS showing in the Mygames thing tho but i cant load it cause of that error

you need the fmod.dll for half-life

Insert this fmod.dll in your Counter-Strike/Half-Life folder (NOT esf dir):

i had this same problem as well, the fmod.ddl fixed it but now that i try to enter a server half-life launcher just crashes everytime, anyone know why?

offtopic: why are there like only 10 servers on steam?

yep steam updated everything and half-life runs just fine with no problems at all but esf just crashes if i enter a server

yes i took the file in the zip and put it in the steamapps\blabla\half-life

i even put it in the original half-life folder again, same problem

omg.... i just made an experiment with the resolutions for steam and it seems like i cant have a resolution higher than 800x600 or else steam will crash...anyone wanna comment on this?

1.2 better be a hella lot better compitable with steam by the time its out

Don't double post please, and you have to unzip the file first. Then put the FMOD.DLL file into your half-life folder.

maybe you didnt read that...

the fmod.dll only fixed so i got into steam esf it didnt help me get into the servers.

anyway the resolution problem is the obvious problem any comments on that?

sorry if im coming off as hostile but this is just really pissing me off considering it worked perfectly before.

That gives me the sense that it still doesn't work. You never said that you actually unzipped the file, you just placed it in you half-life folder in zip format. Which won't work.

Now are you using OpenGL?

yes i am using open gl

nevermind i found the problem, it was the gfx card drivers fault i was one version behind so i tried catalyst 4.4 and it worked.

firestorm i suggest you change drivers to see if it helps.
