client.dll ERROR

OK, I can start up the game fine but as soon as I try to host a game it says the following error: Cannot open libary D:\sierra\Half Life\esf\cl_dlls/client.dll

I'v tryed replacing the file it doesn't work, any suggestions?

Reinstall Halflife and Esf

i used to get that problem heaps with all mods all it was was me HL version, got the latest patch and it was fixed never had that prob again with any mod

 

[Firefly]

make sure the file "fmod.dll" is in your hl-directory and it´s around 124kb big
if it´s only 112kb it´s the wrong fmod.dll
make sure you use the one coming with esf
