Client.dll error

i get a client.dll error any one know how to fix it??

Hi welcome to the forums =D This isnt the help section but I'll help anyways.. If you get this problem when connecting it might be your version of ESF, if your version isnt 1.2.1 I recommend you update it. Also it might be a graphic card problem, if you dont have the latest drivers it might crash like that.. Last thing.. You might have to get a new fmod file.. It's around here somewhere, maybe someone more informed than me can post the link for you =D

Yeah, I have the same error. My drive is good and I have 1.2.1 but it just keeps saying client.dll error. Also, I'm getting the error when installing, not trying to play.

or the server ur trying to connect to isnt using 1.2.1

i had the same problem when i still used half-life. I simply reinstalled both half-life and esf completely. Perhaps this works with steam to. Try to completely uninstall it, and then install it again. Update steam complete. maybe it works. I'm not sure though.

Nowadays i use steam, i only use half-life when i don't want to play online.
