Chrono Cross was fun as hell to play, even though I found it slightly overloaded with characters. Personally I'd have preferred maybe one or two people of each element in exchange for a bit more character development on others than just the main three or so.

Chrono Cross was really good, but i still preferred Chrono Trigger

Chrono Trigger IMO was the greatest SNES RPG along with FFVI

The music in Chrono Cross however was extremely beautiful i remember watching this intro so many times

Also, i loved Chrono Trigger's PSX opening too, drawing look familiar? Its from the same drawer as DragonBall Z lol

Yes, Chrono Trigger was the greatest RPG on SNES along side with Final Fantasy VI and Super Mario RPG and Earthbound, and is a franchise that only SQUARESOFT could ever revive or touch, Enix is a sacred RPG company but should never make another Chrono game, those are for SQAURESOFT to create alone, but it's too bad that some of the best people in the crew left after Square merged with Enix.

As much as I love Final Fantasy and all of its halfbreed children, nothing has and nothing will ever surpass Chrono Trigger. It's just that epic.

I love that game. And Chrono Cross, although it was fun, confused the living crap out of me. 40 characters? Overkill.

I played the game to the point where I collected every character, 99 stars, beat the Chronosphinx, got all the techs, seen all the techs, got all the endings, and touched myself furiously to Kid.

I think I rolled with Serge, Grobyc and Marcy first. Don't ask me why that team, the game was crazy at first. I eventually traded Marcy for Glenn when I found out you can get two Einlanzer swords for Glenn, making him arguably the second strongest character in the game compared to Serge.

I love how Grobyc is cyborG backwards.

I think I got most of the endings for Chrono Trigger, except for the one where you beat lavos in the VERY begining of the game, and the one where Lucca's mom is still has legs.

You can easily beat Lavos at the beginning by using New Game +.

Yeah I never did it. Those characters always sucked because I used Frog Chrono and Magus,

Chrono Trigger was pretty awesome, never played Chrono Cross or even knew it existed before this thread.

If I remember correctly, Chrono cross for the PSx is 4 CD's and its story is pretty damn big. Much like the FF series. Even though I really dislike the latest FF for the PS2. Dancing attacks? Just what the hell.

I only played it once when I was younger at my sisters house. She didnt get the characters leveled up very much and you were locked into a boss sequence that I couldnt beat really early in the game.

I hear its got a real sad ending though. I'll have to find it. I believe gamespot gave it 10/10

it's only a 2 disc game and yes, the ending is sad. Best ****ing music for the credits though. If anyone hasn't heard it, then you should.

The vocals made the song come to a screeching halt for me.

I remember having Chrono Cross, not really liking it, but allowing it to be on in the background so that I could listen to the main theme. Then I downloaded Napster and got the song. Haven't touched the game since.
