Just an Idea for some upcoming versions:

My suggestion is that when someone is shooting single or multiple ki attacks.
That you need to press (with the block-key pressed) left, right,up or down.. (like advanced melee) a direction to deflect the ki attack. As for Vegeta's renzuko (still dont know how to write it) it could be a little difficult, which may give Vegeta a little ki advantage.
And if you don't give a direction you may inflict a little damage. Hope someone knows what i mean.

As for beamstruggle, when you block you can press also a direction..and when you win, you deflect the direction you pointed and when you lose, just pray for survival :).
And maybe... when blockstruggles between beam are taking to long (5 sec maybe)...you gain some injuries like 1 hp per second or something like that. Cuz i know it's gotta hurt when you need to block a beam.

So what do you guy's think?

Im not sure how that would work since ki blasts are fired at high speed, you wouldnt have time to get the right direction.
As for the beams, they explode when they sit still too long now. (not sure if thats what you ment)

Yes, but deflecting ki blasts isnt gonna be that difficult. Just block and press a direction. Its not like you have to time it exactly at the right moment. It would be difficult then.

Example:
Someone is firing ki blasts..and you hold block and hold a direction perhaps with a little animation you see your character holding his hands ready to deflect it to a certain side. (This is also in the show and could work for beams aswell when strong enough)

And for beams they only xplode when the don't move for a while right?
But when you are blocking i am sure that the beam will move. Cuz it pushing you back right? But when the beam isn't moving you do get some damage even before it detonates.

That's why i am suggesting this for future releases (1.3, 1.4 or 1.5), perhaps the got a solution for that then.

I don't think that would work. You have to take into consideration the players connection, and reaction time. At some points, it would be impossible to deflect an attack to a certain direction, 'cause most of the time your surprised by an energy attack coming at you, so you wouldn't have much time to go, "Oh I think I'll deflect it to the left."

I'm not sure about the beam struggles and blockstruggles idea. In the series, I don't think any character ever deflected a beam in a certain direction. It all depended on where it landed on the other persons attack head. For example, when vegeta deflected Kid Buu's energy ball, his attack struck the bottom of it, causing it to deflect upwards away from the earth. But even so, that would be hard to implement.

That's true Krazy-Killa, but dont you think that by 1.3, 1.4 or 1.5 that there is less lag..I mean for example counterstrike, ofcourse it depends on your connection and server. I know this hasnt got anything in common with esf. But if there is also a bad connection you have a great chance of dieing. I hope that this idea get's ingame when the lag problem is solved.

And perhaps if and only if it isnt to hard to implent the team would put it in.
The team has done a great job so far and i dont want them to get all sweaty :).
