when i go into esf, and try to either create or join a game, it gets about half way through the loading, stops and says:

HL HAS CAUSED AN ERROR IN: CLIENT.DLL
HL WILL NOW QUIT

or something along those lines... anyone got any ideas for me? It worked fine 2 weeks ago...

P.S. it is not fmod.dll, i tried that
p.p.s. i have the exact same problem with The Specialists, i just noticed

there's a possibility that different mods, need diferent fmod.dll versions ...
my version work on nearly all mods ...
its size: 127.488 Bytes

if you've got the same, reinstall ESF

if this doesn't work, I can't help you anymore

I just go and search for the files make duplicates and put them in the correct folder but the game might just make an illegal operation so try at your own risk

:\

1) download esf from another server
2) reinstall esf
3) delete half-life . and reinstall half-life
4) update half-life to 1.1
5) set your video mode to openGl

these are just some tips! try them all ^_^
