if some one made a dbz modeling tut everyone that wanted to model liket that would follow it like sheep..... start on humanoid modeling tuts then get better and go on to dbz modeling...
I use Truespace5.2. It doesn't export to .mdl so that may be a problem for some people. Although it exports to .3ds,.x,etc., so if you're not planning on using TS5.2 for ESF, then it's a great buy. TS3.2 is free on the net if you want to get a feel for it.
just search google for modeling a human body using 3dsmax or milkshape, the same rules will apply to modeling an anime character, the only thing that would change is your reference picture. i suggest modeling poly by poly in 3dsm 5+
