I have found the solution to the beta 1.1 installer for all those with cs. all you have to do is creat a folder called "HALF-LIFE". this must be the exact name. then start the installer and it should work.

Dude, you just install it into the Counter-strike folder. Whatever problem you were having, you either were installing it incorrectly or it's just your computer, becuase i have retail CS and it installs fine normally.

But it is a good solution for those players that get errors and some **** during the installation proces

yeah,but remember to rename the folder back to Counter-Strike or it wont ever read from the registry ever

But it isn't really necessary,why wont you just be not lazy and edit the installers path to Counter-Strike??
BTW,if you do NOT know how to edit the installer path,then Ima gonna need to jump outta my window....
