I have seen the melee tutorial for 1.3.
looks like a lotta mouse button hold downs.

Suggestion:
Just change it to a button that will set the melee configuration.
It is annoying to hold the mouse button down.
This way people can just blast off and have intense battles freely.

Right now i use a mouse script to hold the right button down when i'm playing 1.2.
scripts like that are not that hard to make.

Thank you for reviewing my post.

Im speaking strictly as a player here.

That is the laziest suggestion i have heard. The only thing more lazy would be to suggest the game to play by itself while you sit back and watch.

It would take less effort just to click your damn mouse

Let him make the scripts. Hell find out that they will only be useful for simple melee. And in that case he will get countered 100% of the time.

Combo melee requires a charge. And to prevent constant full charge hit and run tactics, you get a penalty for each second you keep the thing fully charged XD

i like to press buttons instead of clicks just my preference...its not hard to find loop holes....

--- edit ---

plus it is a good suggestion... because... developing a button that will set melee configuration... will attract more players and will keep more players in the game....

But you press and hold a mouse button. Its not like you have to time it with the hit you know >.<

Youll have to explain that one to me, as i have no clue what those 2 vids should represent.

But if the second one is a script that shots with 1 button and then pulls the sword back out, then id call that a cheat to begin with.

the point i'm trying to make is some people can use the keyboard just as fast.

the videos show a game called gunz and just how fast they press buttons on the keyboard.

you need the sword to dash.

I played Gunz and i wasnt to bad at it. Also Dashing and doing the jump with pistols are similar in functionality, only that you can abuse the dash to quite literally gain flight round walls.

But i still fail to see how fast keyboard movements relate to holding down a button with the other hand. Now if you didnt have fingers on your mouse hand that would be different. But there are no more double taping feasts planned for ESF like they are in 1.2 or in Gunz.

I miss GunZ from before Ijji got their hands on it.

It was so fun to learn the extremely indepth system that got created by exploiting an animation system...

And it was embraced!

ah that makes so much sense to me right now.
To stop swoop script abuse we kinda made it part of the game itself. The Open Betas already were showing that.
