A gr8 suggestion which is also very simple about the "R A D A R"!

instead of so many mods for the radar I have a better suggestion about how to do it

I have this problem when I mostly want just to see who is my enemy
or my ally
and how much energy does he have comparing to me(big\small\norm dot)

BUT there are sometimes when I actually also want to know whats his name
and his exac PL!.... DETAILS!!!

but when I change the radar mod (F9) from mod 2 to 3 I automaticly loose
the mod2 thing...

I think I dont explain my self so good
anyway my suggestion is that:
y not making a radar mod that always shows the normal way
(just dots)
and when I point at some1(not only locking him via meelee)
I can see small details of him on the top of the radar itself!

it would be very small and so it wont interfear
just think about it K?

(/passes out, feels very bad
hopes threads gonna be success!)

If you two had actually read the suggestion you'd know he wasn't talking about mixed mode. He was saying that he uses mixed mode but whenever his cursor brushes over someone he can't see the map until their statistics go away. This is also a problem of mine, especially in close combat.

o that's what he meant. Ya, that's a great idea. lol, I thought he said that the stats only appear when he locks on with melee or something.

you made things cleared out for all others!

so yeah! but about any kind of the small statistics...
I think that the PL, Name and Class should be above the RADAR
DONT FORGET THE "SMALL" part
but their position should be controllable anywhere in the screen
what do you think?

EXCELLENT IDEA!!! The team should redo the scouter in ESF. And they should do it your way, Miki800 :D

Nice Idea Miki, and I'd like to ask if that's the original way the scouter looked in DBZ, cuz i don't remember a border around the visor part.

thnx, but in dbz most main chars could do "sensing"
since you dont actually have that six sense that esf can stimulate with HL

all chars uses a radar that ESF made OK?
it doesnt has to be like exactly the show in that part
anyway the thread died 3 times and no admin told
yet what the team's final desition about me suggestion! bammer

i like it
how about this dont change the radar but when it shows statistics of a person it has an arrow pointing to the nearest enemy (only when showing statistics in mixedmode)

They should also make the person selected in Melee to flash on the radar, cuz i get lost alot ;P.

thank you very much! thats an exelent idea dude!!! ;) :yes:

lets tweak it! not flash, like in the GAME ESF he will have a tiny red squer around him!!!

that way you wont get too confused!!!

and that squer shouldnt be too big or it will distorbe other dots been seen in the radar!

better idea:

If your cursor is above the unit, for the map to be still showing, but the statistics to be ghosted into the background. The reading of the "small" words will be too much.

I would like to havejust the stats be a bit more visible, but you can still see a faint grid and dots moveing around.

no, I dont think so! just a small thing as my edit is fine!
just watch:

Of course the team should choose their own way to do this
but please ESF team, do this cause its more comfterble this way

+ all like it and there is not even 1 reason why not to do this
(lag, unbalance, buggy, coding too hard ETC...)

lol i forgot to say what the edit is, well:
lets say that the red dot is my enemy and he is right in front of me and targeted
the red dot should change to what it is now in the pic cause he is targeted!
his details will show in a nice font + a lil dark transperant background
and all you need to know is his user name, Class and pl
thats all there is! + you can also show a neat small model img in the middle
right on top of the power level...

so now what do you think?

thnx, it was too simple, took me 1.5 minutes to do it with photoshop
+ I think it might be already doable with the current spirits... its just a small patch
to ESF for the spirits and for the coding on where I see some spirites or something like that....

I suggest using the radar like in freespace or wing commander where the dot in the center is in front of you

he means a circle in the midle of it is the front (you are looking at the person) and on the edge is back (behind your head) and you turn so that the dot you have targeted comes to the center of the circle
