A DragonBall Seiries Question.

Does Goku grow up in DragonBall? Or is he a kid the whole way through, and we only see his old tournaments when we was an adult, before DBZ, as flash-backs in DragonBallZ?

he DOES grow up in db, but dbz he's looks older than he was db

He is a baby at the beginning of DB of course, grows up to about his early 20s at the end of DB.

When DBZ starts, I guess he is in his mid 20s.

start of DB he's 12
21st Budokai he's 12 he say's his age is 12 just after the fight with garin
22nd budokai (3 years later) he's 15 in the manga he's a bit taller and he's arms are abit more filled out
23rd Budokai (3 years later) he's now 18
begining of BDZ (5 years after DB) he's 23

What is Vegeta doing though out the entire DB series then? Just training?

Vegeta was most likely living on planet Vegeta with his father King Vegeta.
Then at some point Frieza takes over, ordering the Saiyan's to destroy planets. (for money i think)
So around the time of dragonball Vegeta was out doing missions for Frieza, and becoming an elite saiyan. Think that's about it.

and i think its funny how they mnake out picallo to be this big ol' bad ass in DB, but then he just becomes this push over *****, i hate picallo

Well, Piccolo is the king of demons... though they don't really have him say anything about it in the Funi dubs. In the manga, he refers to himself as "Piccolo the Demon King" and such when fighting alot. He's not really a push over in DBZ.
He holds his own against Frieza for awhile, and after he fuses with Kami in the Cell Saga, he rivals, if not surpasses what everyone else was at the given time.
