I have started mapping HL and have made some rooms and such that worked, however. I haven't figured the sky box thing out yet and haven't found good info. on it. Also I noticed compiling a map with a room bigger than about 4000 units doesn't compile (max leafs error), so how did you make such...

Ok I wanna try Skin editing on the esf models. I have photoshop, and Half life model viewer and I went into half life model veiwer and opened trunks. How do I skin it now? ((Anyone got any tutorials?))

Hi my games textures are messed up all the player skinns and stuff are on the outside off the map and i tryed reinstalling the game allot of times here a screenshot of how it looks: and on esf_rosat i can't see the ground and stuff and thats realy anoying on every map its differen't :(

I was thinking because of the scale down on the models ,maps dont have to be nearly as big as they were before in esf. Are hide textures really needed for a decent size map then? The one flaw to hide textures is that they can screw up lighting slightly because of the breaking down the...

i downloaded a skybox file called skybox.bb and i was wondering where i place the file? i found in hammer it just says 'enviromentmap cl_skyname' and then a box and i was wondering does the file i mentioned go in C:\SIERRA\Half-Life\esf\gfx\env because there are no files of that type in there...

i bet a hundered ppl have already said this but why do almost everyperson with your normal Beta installer have 3 textures missing from the esf_mid map... those 'no texture' purple and black blots make u dizzy

Hey all! this is my first post in the problem department so here goes when i start up a map called "esf_mid" the game says a whole bunch of textures are missing and the map looks like a chessboard?! what going on? *NOTE* i haven't looked to see if anybody else had this problem so...

i was just lookin at the gallery and noticed that i like the kami scenery a LOT more than the scenery that came with the beta....also the time space chamber room scenery looks good, i didnt get anything but solid gray, i dont know if thats the way its supposed to be or if its a problem anyone...

Ok, ive just finished s2k_greattournament for the beta ... it was made in a kind of contest .. my an a friend betted that i can do a good map in 7 hours (+ compile time) ... and .. i think its good ^^ check it out on www.s2k.de.tt in the downloads section ^^
