The world is about to change

Interesting, thanks. Do note however: I never said graphene isn't an interesting material (quite the opposite in fact). I'm no semi-conductor expert, so I don't now how important conductivity is for semi-conductors. I would say it's not a key property though, since most transitors/chips are...

The world is about to change

Yeah, great source... Silicon is a pretty crappy conductor anyways (compared to copper, silver): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electrical_resistivity_and_conductivity Now Graphene is an interesting semi-conductor, but that does not have to do anything with its conductivity.

The world is about to change

I'm disproving several steps of his reasoning chain with some quickly dug up sources (which I actually read, unlike other people here...). I would not be surprised if fossile fuel is used mainly for other purposes than personal transportation, which would also disprove his final reasoning step...

The world is about to change

Your reasoning goes from graphene is a conductor => super battery => electric cars actually become good => good bye fossil fuels and you accuse us of jumping to conclusions? That you can make thin, mendable layers of graphene does not disprove that a graphene capacitor that has the same...

The world is about to change

You meant micro-supercapacitor, not conductor. That's not a poor choice of words, that's not having a clue. http://newsroom.ucla.edu/portal/ucla/ucla-researchers-develop-new-technique-243553.aspx Also, energy storage devices are not directly gonna solve all our energy production problems...

The world is about to change

eh... conductor just means that it conducts something (the article talks about heat, electricity, light) well, not that it can be used as a super battery.

    earths defenders civil war origins

You might wanna get a native English speaker to prove-read and correct that moddb page and screen. Should it be "Earth's mightiest heroes"?

I'd go for an Asrock mobo instead of Asus if you're on a tight budget.

    physics in the game esf

Source? Either way, you're talking ancient history. At least they're part of it since OpenCL 1.0 (which seems to be the first release of OpenCL), and they were part of setting up the specification:

The stigma of HL verification and why it's not a good idea.

I agree with Eon, I never thought it was a good idea, but at the time it was pretty much forced down the team's throat by our former website owner skizer and, to a lesser extend, by a forum feature happy Skyrider. The original idea was to also have game statistics attached to your account, but...

    physics in the game esf

Mostly classical mechanics; currently our Saiyans do not get heavier as they approach the speed of light. The implementation of quantum effects is currently limited to teleportation.

    ZEQ2 Lite

Really? My outdated version of esf has 115 player state variables. That is excluding those required for animation, player related graphics, and counting class properties (e.g. max health, transformations capabilities) and melee state as only two state variables. Are you claiming zeq2 has even more?

    Sub's coding pool party

No problem, it's an interesting problem to look at. The key is to start from the locked corners (and the very concept of corners being locked), rather than toy around with the 'free corners'. Flipping around problems like that is a trick you can very often use :) Also, you probably already got...

    Sub's coding pool party

Perhaps start with all corners at height 0, and keep a list of corners that are locked and will no longer be heightened. Start with locking all water corners. Then iterate over all unlocked corners and randomly either heighten a corner if allowed (i.e. this will not make it 2 higher than any of...
