Your first anime series?

I always think its interesting to hear which series first got people into anime, so post your 'original' series here.

My first anime series was Dragonball Z.

I really didn't even know what an "anime" was until my teenage years though.

Dragonball was the first anime I saw.

I didn't really know what anime was either before pokemon came out.

First anime was DBZ, had no idea what anime was until a while after I joined this board. DBZ is the only anime i've ever watched without hating

Either Sailormoon or Pokemon in the single-digit ages:X, It actually took me awhile to like DBZ, at first I didn't like it because it was "too serious".

Sailor Moon and Pokemon were just 'cartoons' to me, no differentiation between 'anime' and 'American cartoon'. Kinda wish it was like that everywhere.

Sailormoon :laffthe funny thing is that I didn't realise that it was one of those animes that from time to time show a girl with no censoring,I didn't get exited at all over it :|)

I feel the same way, kind of. I've seen DBZ, Hellsing, and Rurouni Kenshin (respectively). Anything else can suck on my balls. Especially Naruto...
