Ahhhh General Leo, I cannot tell you how many times I tried to save that dear man. In the end I just used game genie to put him in my party. That mimic is Gogo btw Sonic. Yeah I don't know about any of you but my favorite character in FF6 is Locke, he is just a smooth opperator, or like to think he is. Plus unlike future FF's stealing from enemies is actually beneficial and can result in a really good item, Atlas Armlets, Jumpboots, Zozo is a treasure trove of items ready for the plucking.

so here's my list

Numbah 1.) Final Fantasy VII

Numbah 2.) Final Fantasy Tactics

Numbah 3.) Final Fantasy X

FFX is not that cool, besides the movies, voice overs, and stuff, but TIDUS IS A FRIGGIN WIMP!!! auron rox!!!



And i found out some REALLY similar things between FFVII and FFX

1.) main character is Blonde, skinny, stupid at times, swords (Cloud~Tidus)

2.) left hand is rarely/not used, silent, dark, mysterious, might have died, mystic warrior dude type (Vincent~Auron)

3.) funky attitude/toys with machines (Yuffie~Rikku)

4.) spears (Cid~Kimahari (Cid in X is not a playable charc unless in Blitzball)

5.) cussing bad ass, long range, stupid mofo (Barret~Wakka)

6.) big breasts, in black (Tifa~Lulu)

7.) silent, quiet, naive, gentle (Aeris~Yuna)

8.) a cat/dog (Red XIII~Kimahari)

9.) oh well, there is only ONE bad ass of bad asses...SEPHIROTH!!!

look, Sephiroth is much better of a name than See More Guado (Seymour Guado)

Yeah man i agree with ya.... 8 dod kinda suck it was short bad grafics bad game play. The only thing i like about it is the story.

There is no Cid in the original FF.They re-released the REAL FF1 and FF2 for the PS.(FF2 not as in Cecil,it's Frionel)

Right now I just finished FF2,the Emperor was too easy jeez.....

BTW,I liek FFt because CLoud's in it too and gets a new Limit Break I'd say FFT is my second favorite FF hehe.FF6 is third place,I just don't like their pics....

FF8 does suck, it took me about 30 hours of playing it to remember anyones names because they are just so friggin boring. Lets see magic sucks big time in 8, you can't buy weapons or armor, the draw system bites, the story is bad, the end boss you don't even meet until the end????? The only saving grace of this game is the end, it is the most perfect ending that I have seen in a FF game, second would have to be FF9.

Well, quick guide to Roman Numerals.

V = 5
I = 1
X = 10

So,
IV is one before five, making it four.
VI is one after five making it six.
VII is two after five making it seven.
VIII is three after five making it eight.

Same goes for X.

FFVII is the Best FF Game Ever. Quote me on that if you like.

It had an amazing storyline that twisted and turned, with Aeris Death, and other spoilers that I'm not sure I can mention cus not everyone has played it...

Well, most of the reasons have been mentioned anyway, the materia system and such.

Aeris song makes me cry. Don't ask me why, it's just so sad... *sniff*.

I hated IX. The story was bad I guess. I never understood why my brother loved it so.

And X? Well, ground breaking graphics or no Ground reaking graphics, I still hated it. If any game should have a sequel it should not be X but VII.

I agree. One of the happiest days I can remember was when I found they re-released 4 (2 in the US) on PSX. It was the first one I had ever played, and I remembered liking it, so I wanted to get it again. Same goes for Anthology, I wanted 6 again after my bro borrowed it from his friend. I actually find that they are harder than the PSX and PS2 ones, tho. I recommend any experienced FF7-10 players try the older ones, get a feel for what started the trend =]

Final Fantasy 5

This game is allways gonna be one of my most played, since its got a very good system of playing, I have allways liked the battle system with classes, tho the monk is abit OTT when your doing 9999 and then anouther 9999 (punches 2 time)

Final Fantasy 6

I have still yet to complete this, Im very far thou, I love the storyline, and the charaters are good as ever, pitty the fmvs (On the psx verson) suck balls

Final Fantasy 7

Ahh where too start, this will allways be my fav FF game, out of all of them, the story is perfect, allmost brings you to tears, thou the gfx are not very good, hey its an old game... this means nothing since the game is full of extras, when was the last time in a game you took time out too breed Chocobos and then run over and do some snowboarding?

The Battle systeam is wonderfull, Matriria is the best, it does get alittle annoying when you have 200+ Matrira `stones` tho, but still, its fun makeing your person the best ever, nothing will beat full attack phonix summon, or 2xsummon Knights of the round and haveing everyone else use mime.. fun fun fun.

Final Fantasy 8

Ugh, this should of been a great one, the battle system ruined in IMO, the DRAW cmd should be shot.

FF8 had a nice storyline, and very good looking fmvs, but like I said, the battle system, and also lack of extras, ruined it for me.

Final Fantasy 9

Not bad, I did not love the story, thou I liked the draw the charaters are drawn (CHibi style) and also there was a fair share of extras in the game, I found ViVi very annoying....

Final Fantasy 10

Sigh...

This one was good, the voices where done well, and the story was great, battle system was odd at 1st, but really worked out well in the end, only thing I can say about it being able too see whos turn is next (inculding the enermys) made it abit too easy

Not many extras, but enough..

Missed the world map big time...

Pitty that there are so many 10 year old Gfx-whores as I like to call them, who have a ps2 only, and have not played the other FF games, makes die hard FF fans like me very upset..

And The Rest

Right now Im working on FFT, not very far in it, but haveing 10 or so people to play on is very fun, each person is needed and can level up in different ways, getting there own skills, makeing battles real cool

FFMQ made me sick, lets never speck of it again....

Huh...

200 dodged lighting bolts...
Oh I remember that, I would dodge some go do something else, dodge some more, went to bed, woke up and dodged some more. Got smacked with a lightning bolt, went back to see how many I dodged and guess what it said??? 199... So I had to do it all over but eventually got it.

There were many many things that I didn't care for in FFX, so here is a list:

1. Breaking the 9999 limit, cool at first but when you are dealing 50,000+ with each swing and only 1/2 way through a second sphere grid...
2. Sphere grid, enough said
3. Linear as hell
4. Tidus: "Hey guys lets go out there and do our best and then we can have a group hug afterwards, ok?" I don't know maybe gushing would be a good word to describe him?
5. Final boss: The easiest there has ever been, and bad no emotions for or against him, he was just some guy you had to kill.
6. The love story was built up where it climaxed at the middle, but then it just died off until the end???
7. The end was good, it felt complete, until the second half started up at which point I stopped caring about what was being said.

In my opinion they just pumped as many visuals as they could into this game and let everything else just kind of ride in the back seat.

Nearly everyone agrees that FFVII is the best final fantasy in the series, and so do I. I think that in the past squaresoft have been geniuses, but recently all i found is that they have served up one disappointment after another. After finishing final fantasy X I felt cheated. Not that i was expecting the brilliance of VII because my opinion is that they will never create a better game than that, but i just felt that it wasnt up to scratch. I thought it had *** characters except auron braska and jecht. FFX on its own is much better than most other games out there, but i dont think it was up to their usual high standard. Then i found out about FFX2 and i felt a bit sick. They had decided to break their tradition on keeping the story of each final fantasy game independent from the last and they had done it for the worst one of the series.

Does anyone else agree with me that they made a big mistake making a sequel to FFX when most of the fans would have much rather seen a sequel to FFVII (europe and america) or FFVIII (japan).

On a side note about FFX2 it looks absolutely ****. Charlies angels anyone?? Ive never seen the film but ive seen countless trailers and from what people have told me the way they have done the 3 girl chars just reminds me so much of charlies angels.

If they were gonna make a sequel to FFX i think a much better idea could have started off as a prequel where you see auron jecht and braskas side of the story then progress into events after.

At least Aisha is playing FFVI. The rest of you should too! Do yourselves a favor. It sounds like nobody ever had an SNES! More and more with every post. These FFVII posts are driving me nuts. I mean sure, I would expect a whole lot of people to think it was great, but it sounds like no one played anything but VII through X and T, which leaves out 6 other games.

What about the original FF on nintendo? For a nintendo game it was really solid. It was a *real* challenge (the games seem to get easier with every sequel). If you got your characters up to level 40 you must have spent hours leveling up somewhere and getting killed doing it. Definitely no level 99 characters in this game. Definitely no 9999 damage attacks for sure. No ultima spell, no knights of the round summon, no easy ways out. No life spell that heals your ally all the way, and no easy breaks. You were scared of almost every step because you couldn't be sure when a big group of monsters would pull off critical hits against your wizard or your blackbelt. The spells were balanced in that there were only ever 4 available, and you could only purchase 3 for your wizard. Not to mention that they couldn't be cast more than a few times before you had to rest. I miss that game badly... there is genius in simplicity, ask the guys who put out Tetris. FF 1 is just another one of those games you should all have under your belt. What a fun game it was, even without that silly "story" factor.


About FFX-2:

Yes, I'm afraid we've lost them. Square has finally sold out... ::sigh:: What a waste. And for what? To alter femenine characters to make them "jack-off material." Square is obviously suffering from the wrath of Terminator-3-itus... trying to squeese as much money as they can out of a finished product by introducing unrealistic sex appeal. Square, I am losing faith in you...
