at like 5:30 this morning i saw the video for this band, Badly Drawn Boy this band is so bad that the video is about a guy who goes around and hugs everyone and everything and lets just leave it at this band SUCKS!!!

I love Slipknot .. I'mma have to go with Good Charlotte as well. Everyone was like 'omg omgz' and I seemed to be the only one not interested. Just another band contributing to the demise of what was once punk.

I got the two BEST TOOL ALBUMS (Lateralus, Aenima) from what i heard and i honistly only really like Parabola and Lateralus... Tool.is.OVERRATED. There trying too ride the Pink Floyd wave. Long songs, lots of meaningless pauses. Pink Floyd CAN do that, with tool i'm just waiting for music too come back. There lyrics are just not making any sence what so ever.. If theres a message, please spill it out for me cuz i'm not getting it -_-

Obviously you aren't getting it. You are also ignorant. tool and pink floyd, although both experimental are very different.

Pink Floyd was great with the media, and loved being attention getters.

Tool are VERY sheltered. Maynard hates interviews, and he sings in the dark at concerts.

I will go over my personal meanings of the songs off of Lateralus, All the instrumentals or things liek Faaip De Oiad were left out:

1.The Grudge - Once you read the lyrics and stuff, you can pretty much fgure this song out. It baisicaly means this... Let your grudges go and you'll be better off. Hold your grudges, and you'll be pulled down.

2.The Patient - This could be sort of hard to understand, you gotta listen to it really good though. I feel it is about just waiting. One of those "Good things come to those who wait" songs. Baisically, if you wait, and are patient you will eventually get what you came for.

3.Schism - A schism is a breach between factions. Or a barrier type thing. Listening to the song you'll releize it is about two lovers falling apart, and needing to rediscover their feelings, as at one time the "pieces fit" but not the feelings are confused, and falling apart. Unless they can rebuild, they will ultimatly break up.

It could also be about communicating with your partner to keep a relationship together.

4.Parabol/Parabola - It is about life, and baisically if we don't allow the pain to get to us, then we will find we are immortal, and nothing can really hurt us.

5.Ticks and Leeches - This tune is about having people take advantage of you, and just use you for their wants.

6.Lateralus - This song is deep, and could have many meanings. I personally think it is a song about how our midn limits us, and that well we may not be able to fly, we are able to do almost anything, aslong as we believe in it. You just gotta have the will, the determination, and the power to keep going, even if we do "spiral out"

7.Dispostion/Refletion/Triad - Is three songs, but was at one time just one long song before the split it up before putting it on the album. This is a kind of confusing song, but I think it means many things. One strong feeling I get well listening is that this song is about being equal. As long as we all relieze that we are the same, or in other words "one mind" we will accomplish anything.

Hmm...i pretty much agree with Hwoarang's list, with the exception of Matchbox Twenty...i actually like a few of their songs.
Personally, I don't like most hard rock, metal, or goth rock...they just either seem to angry or too depressed...really, chill out dudes. I prefer stuff like Saves the Day, Ozma, and Stroke 9.
