I do say it's pretty fun...but sometimes it may seem boring. But than after a while it becomes fun again. But I think the pvp system is a tad weak....I mean their is no point in killing someone right now, you don't get anything. But hopefully after the new big patch that is still in beta, it will be better. Also I think they could add more fun parts to it because in other games i've played they have like side games/races etc....which usually is pretty fun.

The honor system was released yesterday. You get honor points and a ranking for earning enough PvP kills. High rankings allow you to buy nice equipment for very cheap prices from vendors.

Next to ESF, WoW is my favorite game of all time. For many many good reasons which I can't even begin to detail.

People who say that the price isn't fair aren't quite right; considering the game has over 5 million customers or so world wide I'd say the price isn't deterring anyone from buying it. Plus it's worth it; they do maintenance and clean up the servers pretty often; anytime things get bugged they reboot them. The maintenance is annoying sometimes but it is also nice to know that nothing ever "Stays broken."

People who say the customizability is weak haven't played long enough, I think; every piece of armor you get looks totally different and if you get an ugly cape or helm you can actually turn it off so it isn't visible. It's the first game I ever played to actually do this so well on such a large scale. Sure we orcs are all similar builds but we all look totally different once we start to earn equipment.

All this aside, witht he new Honor System, it really feels like you're living in a world ravaged by war. 10/10 from me, worth every penny and haven't gotten bored at all yet.

This isn't entirely right.. Blizzard released awhile ago that they have 1,500,000 subscribed members. Don't know where you got "over 5 million" from, but that's an exaggeration. Also, you obviously haven't played the game long enough if you think every piece of equipment is unique. Especially at high levels, there are only so many different models for each thing. For instance, the "Soulkeeper" staff uses the exact same model as several other staves including the Staff of Hale Magefire, and the Sarah's Guide is identical to several other low-level staves. These are just a few examples--there are many more.

The fact that there are duplicate graphical models makes getting your unique-looking class set more fun, in my opinion. It's not really a detriment, afterall.. Who uses crappy, generic armor? Well, besides low level people.

In any case, the new patch is a bit more than the servers can handle, at least with the initial waves of fighting. My realm, which is a RP realm and isn't specifically known for PVP, was overwhelmed by fighting when the patch came out. It was taking 7-10 seconds for a single command to be processed. People would appear at full health and then just drop dead. It's stabilized a bit since then, but the problems reoccur if so many people end up in one spot. They need to increase the bandwidth the server can process--and hopefully they'll do so before Battlegrounds comes out.

I think the last Battlegrounds "player size" estimate was 120--60 on each side. Hope that's not too much.

Alea, I know all about the game. 1.5 million is only for North America. Though you're right--5 million isn't right. I forget where that number comes from; I think it might have something to do with the character numbers, possibly. But either way, 1.5 million in North America DESTROYS all other Susbcription games by a large margin. I'll keep myself safe from now on and say "Millions."

For the amount of players in the game, occasional lagginess due to en masse playerbase aside, I'm amazed at some of the technology employed. On my machine the game loads an entire continent in under 10 seconds, and NEVER has to load except for maybe a 5 second interval when I enter an instance.

I'm sorry for the inadequacy of my statements on the numbers (Though I'm sure if you add WoW Europe, WoW Korea, and WoW Eastern Asia, they are more than double the North American figure). What I have to stand by on is the player models; I have yet to see two people looking even remotely similar outside of certain inevitable pieces of armor or weapons (Valor Shoulders, Whirlwind axe, Green Iron Hauberk). Even then, those pieces become milestones for players--it's like, "Hey, awesome, you got the Aegis of the Scarlet Commander, welcome to lv35-40!"

Also, many of the weapons models are similar but every patch more and more of them are updated; many of them are "placeholder" models and on each of the three major patches many people have found themselves with new models for some of the more common equipment.

I wouldn't worry much about the lag. If the Alliance zerging were kept to a minimum like most of us horde wish it would be, the servers on the whole would experience a lot less of the raid lag problems, I wager.

Either way we're caught up in discussing the game and not answering the question. And to answer the question I would easily say WoW is the best MMORPG on the market today. And I say that in good confidence.

Excellant point there. I wasted hundreds of hours of my life playing that game, and I still beat the crap out of myself for it.

But about the whole Honor system thing, if you notice now, things really have seemed to calm down, I'll definatly admit, the first day it came out my server (Tichondrius) was absolute CHAOS! The Alliance had simoltaneously raided TM, UC, XR, Brill, SRR, Kargath, and Gadgetzan was under COMPLETE alliance control, even the Wind Rider was killed and the flight point camped (some poor souls even tried to hit Orgrimmar, or so I'm told). I was truly thinking 'gg horde,' things were so insane that night. All is well now though, besides the 24/7 raids on Tauren Mill (which was basicly the rate at what it was getting raped before the patch), not a whole lot has changed.
By the way, I was looking for a good RP server where people actually RP, if yours is good, feel free to tell me what it is, maybe we can chat sometime.

This is one of my most favorite games.

All the games that Blizzard made that's a series is my favorite. When I first played WoW it wasn't that addicting, I was a complete noob. Once I started leveling up, I started to play more and more. So far, this is Blizzard's best game they ever made. The graphics might suck, say what you want. The graphics dont matter, the Game Play and the Quests are welldone. I give WoW a 9/10

Agreed. The graphics are amazing. Everything might be low poly, but the art direction in the game is without rival in my opinion. The first time I entered the main cities like Iron Forge, Darnassus and Stormwind, my jaw just hit the floor.
