I am just used to spelling it cos it's the Japanese way, but just imagine it as a silent J.;)

Which is also why you will see Super Saiyan abbreviated as SSJ. Because of the japanese spelling of Super Saiya-jin. Most DBZ fans will say SSJ. But all products released by Funi will abbreviate it SS.

SS makes it sound like a boat...:\

that makes sense too cuz if u have America the person is called an American but if u have Saiya in japan it wud be called saiyajin becuz the sufix is jin in crazy japland but in us its an "n" so its Saiyan.

Yes, it means person or man.

And Japanese isn't Indo-Europian or does not follow our language rules.

English:
"I will get the gun"
Japanese:
"I get gun"
or
"I will get gun"

I'm not totally sure though.

Well Super Saiyan sound better than the japanese saying of saiya-jin......Anyway I like Gokus voice in ENGLISH version on JAPANESE he sounds like a girl.....I think the voices that have for the US version of DBZ is better than japanese cuz the japanese voices are I dont know girlish lol.

What would you rather hear?

"Goku is going SSJ!"

or..

"Goku is going SS!.. No not the damn boat!"
