so the city decides to plunk down a few million on a new stadium for the arizona nhl team and now there ass raped big time because its soon to be complete and they cant do diddly with it until the nhl starts again

I thought phenoix got their new stadium during the '03-'04 season?

Blah it's Hockey. What's going to happen is no one's going to care about Hockey whenever they do get it sorted out, and then they won't be getting a paycheck at ALL. Hockey's not popular enough to where the players have a right to complain, if you ask me.

Saying it doesn't matter because it's not popular is like saying you don't have an opinion because your post count is too small. Maybe hockey isn't popular there, but last time I checked there was a 10 year waiting list for Maple Leafs seasons tix. Too bad it's not a popular sport though, who knows what the waiting list would be then...

personally i think all professional athletes are overpaid. i just cant understand the justification in paying a guy 3-20 mil a year to play a game.
