Do you people have any idea how hard you are hammering servers w/ your max fps set at 100? Even newer connections, w/ 8-10 people running 100 fps, just try your max set at 60 or so, its not much of a visible difference, but it will save ALOT of bandwidth for the server. HL works in strange ways.

How would a computer's fps affect a server? The information that is sent to the server has nothing to do with your fps unless they get down to 1-5 because then your computer would produce lag not being able to properly send packets. I really have no idea why having a higher framerate would affect a server in any way.

The more frames per second you have the better. A frame is one picture. Think of it as a slideshow. The more pictures you have and the faster you flip it the smoother it looks.

Usually? 4 FPS. FOUR. Not 40, not forty, but FOUR.

1.8 GHZ
Geforce 2
512 Ram
Like, 400 x 500 resolution. Jacked it up to 800 x 600, the most FPS I ever got was 60 and it usually stays around 30-40.
Hl Radio ON.

Choke stays on a constant 100.

i always thought it was 60 fps not 50, but anyway its always nice to reach the full potential of your computer, all though mine is crap :laff: I'd do anything (well almost) just to reach a constant 40-50 let alone 100
