Another vote on the Firefox bandwagon. <_>

I just like the feel of Firefox more than any other browser I've tried. Every time I use IE on a public computer, I'm always middle-clicking on links and/or using mouse gestures. x_x

Hence, I run Portable Firefox whenever I can. Properly configured, FF is friggin' fast.

I find FF's speed to be acceptable as it is now, though I could always use more speed. Would you mind posting or PMing me some tips as to how I can improve its performance?

I use IE, because it works for me and I rarely get any problems.

Firefox. I used to use it just because it unfaillingly blocked pop-ups. That's not the case anymore, but I like the tabbed browsing so I stick with it ^^

I don't really get why everyone says its so fast. Sometimes it times out. Sometimes it also takes a long time to load background images depending on things, but that's java related I think.
I too don't get why people say its fast, seems the same speed as everything else to me.

Anyways, I use firefox just out of personal preference. I find a couple of the extensions useful, and I love the tabbed browsing. Sometime I use IE though, cuz some things just refuse to go in Firefox, so every once in a while i'll have to bust out IE.

Incidentally I thought I'd point out that the version of Firefox I use seems to have it's own special unique popups. They are super sexy looking and are usually for Verizon. I think they are related to Firefox because I've gone to the same sites with IE and not gotten them. Weird--they look like Verizon ripped off the new Steam UI, if you have seen them you'll know what I mean. They are VERY sparce, like three times in the entire time I've had Firefox, but they do happen from time to time. They slide into the center of the screen really nicely, at least.

Definatly Firefox. I love the customization, speed, and security IE doesn't have.
The ONLY time I use IE is when certain (but very few) things don't work in Firefox, but that is why one of the many plugins I have allows me to RIGHT-CLICK and open a link in IE.

I use firefox, though I'm finding it has it's problems. It seems to be more of a memory hog than IE, though that might just be because I usually have 5 tabs open on FF, but usually only two windows when I used IE. I have noticed, in places that have a lot of images, like the photoshop threads on fark, that it slows firefox down to a crawl.

I've been meaning on giving opera a try, and I just might sometime.

Even FF got those "speed and security" problems :-\

opera is somehow better... i used firfox a while and when i couldnt reach a site it gave a popup that it couldnt open the site... i tried the same site at the same time with opera... it loaded the site long... but it loaded somewise :O

also when you get onto a ****ed up site where you get sooooooooo many popups there open sooo many task... and to remove em you have to close the main window... and it doesnt save the task as i do remmber... Opera does... as i know it even doesnt allow so many same task to have open.

Nwayzs fact is opera is the simplieest inet browser on the world.

Have fun with the "boring" look of fire fox :) i better stick with opera cuz it got soo good features and a niceee Chat system :) and.....(bla bla bla bla)

I use Opera with Proxomitron and its one of the fastest browsers I've ever used especially with the proxomitron add on.

I tried Firefox but I did not like it so much especially with those add ons you have to download seperately.

IE is just a pain in my ass with all the damn spyware, pop ups and those freaken pay porn sites that pop up aswell.

So I guess for me Opera gets the win.

Firefox has little to no speed problems(Definitly if you know how to change some things in the config file and use a program to speed up Firefox alot) and security problems, If you look at the spyware you gain with IE (Lets say...200) you only gain about 2 or 3 with Firefox.

The popup blocker somtimes blocks all the popups including pop up sites, but you can just go to the menu and turn the pop up blocker off for that particulair site.

Getting alot of popups at a time has NOTHING to do with Firefox...thats just the site -_-'.
Simple browsers dont mean they are better ;). And there are alot of features download-able for firefox, I rather have a browser where I can install my own features, the ones that I want. Instead of getting a browser which has a chat box in it that I would never use.
