We have no voice

Well what do u think?

When they got voice into hl, i was thinking it was going to be cool, but after playing on severs with alot off ppl useing them, i changed my mind....

1. i dont have this prob (1mb cable line owns) but i used to when i was on 56k, when ppl talked it would "lag" u, or drop ur frame rate or something, all i know is it killed alot of 56k users

2. Alot of german, french ppl out there, and i dont understand a word of them (dont get me wrong, i do like germans and french ppl etc) if they are good people, givieng commands and stuff, then its bad that u cannot understand them and it just ends up as annoying crap u dont understand

3. Abuse, god this is the worst, it seems everyone on hl has a bug up there ass, hear is one i remember

(then stops for abit, then says something in the same voice)

this continued, and yes u can put them on mute, but they r still very annoying.

its nice to be able to yell for help or something like that and not have to type it, but if they did what Unreal Tordy and alot of other games, and some hl mods, and have a menu when u can press something like "1,4,2" fast to call for medic etc, what do u all think?

no i hate the fact voice is in hl, the main probs are it lags ppl and everyones very rude

i like it because its better than typing (even though i don't have a mic)

i play counter-strike and i like when people on my terrorist team at cs_assault. use the cameras and talk into the mic to tell where their at on the map.

some mods really don't need it, TFC is too fast for it to have any useful purpose.

Voice is very useful in TFC, especially in a clan match situation, telling teammates of incoming enemies, via a certain route, or the whereabouts where you dropped the flag, i like the voice option.

I agree with Tepus, I thought voice would be cool, but people abuse it to much and just ruined it.

It's awesome in DOD, cuz people in that game are actually civilized unlike in CS!! They actually use the mic for strategy and helping the team!! I wish my mic was still working, but I dunno whats wrong wit it!! It just stopped working one day!!

yeah maps like well and 2 fort

but maps like warzone and dustbowl are just too fast paced for mics to be effective

if i want to use voice i simply use battlecom or roger wilco
don´t lagg for me and has more option than hl-voice

Ya Tepus makes a good point it was cool but it got kinda annoying I remember playing FireArms and I killed a guy and he put on the mid and flamed me to hell.

Plus my parents were in the room including my 5 yera old brother :S

If used properlly and not overu sed I fidn it a neat and great addon thing for HL but when abused it is Lame and annoying
