wallpaper with logo

made a wp to go with my winxp theme.. brownish

its again based on the logo... just tried a newer blen in

PS: beware, its 1280*1024 (my resolution) and weighs 250kb

PS2: this is like first wallpaper i ever did -_- have no idea of how to make balanced/good looking wallpapers

haha yeah that logo :) good use of it btw. I like the color scheme (tho its a bit sad for my taste, but that doesnt mean its a bad scheme overall). think it's not bad.

good job.

He didn't make the logo for him ;), he gave him an example and clearly said:

It looks good. Like everyone else said, the brown is distracting. It makes me want to look at the plain color instead of your design in the middle. Some things to try...

- a dark grey, black, or desaturated brown to make it sink into the back a little bit more

- A horizontal gradient on the top and bottom. Maybe going from brown to black, or brown to a more desaturated brown (or some other neutral that will direct attention to the design in the middle)

- The above with an inch solid brown buffer. So you have a solid color for an inch on top and bottom and then have it turn into a gradient.

no, remove those lines :eek:. thats not what masta meant. he meant gradient on the whole bg, (behind the big bar).

first one is a lot better than that 2nd one imo.
