Trying to play the 1.23

i love esforces 1.1 :yes: but i tried to play the 1.2 and more...
but nothing works to the problem: the game returns to windowsXP :cry:
I tried to delete the mod, to reinstall it, on an other computer... :fight:
I just want to play on LAN, so i don't have won installed (how to do it?), and i don't use stream (i have installed it, but how to make hl and it works together? it just send me ads!!!).
I have the message font missing twice before it crash, but nothing seems bad... I don't think that's the fonts which cause the bug, but can someone help me? o_o
I love esf but i wish to have the bots too, for example... :] if someone know the solution, help me! :talk:
I'm a french gamer, so please escuse me for any mistake.

You need steam in order for it to work, and get help from these boards
anyway

1) install steam
2) start steam > Play Games > Double Click Half-life 1 ( one not two )
3) wait for it to be installed, start the game once so steam "unzips" all the files
4) run the ESF installer which will point it's self to the right directory
5) restart steam
6) Start Steam > Play Games > Double click Earth Special Forces

I am having the same problem but i can not install Steam because it says my key is already in use. How do i play ESF
