for trunks's sword, why can't it just be an extra attack so it looks cool when he takes it out and it will be fair to the people who don't want trunks to have a sword

I beleive that was what they intended to do, but if not this sounds like a good suggestion. To add to this, I suggest a MGS2 Katana-controlling system, as that was problably the best I've ever seen.

I dont think it could be like the MGS2 controlling system because not every1 has a joystick.
