Trunks...

I dont like trunks, but that is mainly because i am not very good with him, because i havent practised with him. He is hard to use, so you usually dont use him when u first start playing, whereas goku & vegeta are easy to use. Thats why there are so many goku and vegeta fans i guess. Anyone can be good wih any character if they play enough with them.

anyways you see the picture already....but its just an example of what you can do with Trunks....but against people that are real good....lets just say I'm certified to hit the ESF mrogue when I go up against real good players *hinhintpcjoe*

Yeah trunks is a good character if you know his moves....and the bojac movie model roxorss! he looks cool when hes ssj rispect to the guy who made it i like trunks more than cell or buu in esf dont know why

Ugh...don't go there. Trunks is not only weaker, but he wears safari shorts. This cuts his coolness factor down by 150%.

It's nice, but is it as great as some of the other character's moves? It's not as good as solar flare, for example.

His backflip is the best out of all the characters, you are generally ssj enough to get used to it - as servers crash with goku sometimes you never go ssj.

The animation is cool, yeah, but hyper jumps are the same for all characters, as far as I can tell.

His FB move is pretty much unblockable unless you see him charging it up - its just so stealthy.

Well, as easy to tell as most moves. (i.e. DD).

His speed may be slower but it gives you more time to think and dodge a blocking person if you need to. Speed only makes a big difference if the speed difference is big 250-280 quite a bit but not much, however compared to cell he is slow.

Once everyone's transformed, he's back to where he started from.

This isn't a flame, it's just that until Trunks gets his sword, he's an also ran. He's slower, his beam attacks aren't as great. If you can get a high score as him, then you're good.

I'm hoping his sword will beef him up some. *crosses fingers*

In the TV program he is crap, crap history, crap fighter, nice sword, crap hair - looks like a german rock band

I find Trunks (Maybe Gohan aswell) The Best characters to start with anyway, if you get his power up a bit and transform and turbo up you should have enough power so if you decide to change character to someone like goku or vegeta you should already nearly/have enough power to transform straight away...

WHY?!

- buring attack can be controlled

-you can use it from far away

-it can be controlled

-it does not drain all you ki

-it does damage

-it looks good

-it can pass off as a ff later on in the match, which is great

Why should it? We're having a discussion. Is that such a bad thing?

While it can be controlled, and the effect lasts long enough to be useful, it's not nearly as devastating as solar flare (I can't believe how much it's underused). Solar flare an opponent who you've knocked to the ground, and they're ripe for finishing off however you please.

But my idea of starting this thread was to say that trunks is simply not crap and he is actualy good in the right hands, But he could do with somethings to improve him slightly because he is not as crap as everyone makes him out to be... There are alot of trunks fans out their, just as their are alot of vegeta fans out there. So if i was to come here and say vegeta sucks because his attacks are **** before he is ssj I expect their would also be alot of unhappy people!!

im sure this was said before (forgot :S) but ill say it.

its not that a character sucks on the games, its how well u use them. like how i am only good w/ vegeta (favorite character ) and im not that good w/ other people. its weather or not if u can play well w/ them. but he transforms too fast like gohan :O

in the show trunks is the saiyan equivalent of Krillin, he always gets his ass kicked, or doesnt do much, here in South Africa we are watching Cell Games and Trunks does F All :/

In the game he is pretty good, I like to play Trunks to practice, and then when going 1v1 (which is the best way to play this game) I play cell, who is kinda similar to Trunks, a slightly better Trunks (both melee and beam wise), coz he doesnt have an "uber" move like the rest of the power houses in the game, like the Kame or FF, or Dball, and his beams just dont get as strong as the rest of the crew when he transforms...kinda like trunks
