Back on the topic: Learn to detonate the BA at the right time,and poof your target is blind,then al you have to do is swoop,smash and conquer....

Pretty much wraps it up,and if they made BA a ball,I wouldnt know how the heck we'd use it....

and detonating ba may be a good idea...but the blast radius is sorta small to make any effect. a ball would be much better

Trunks gets his ass beat ALL the time, what're you talking about?

In his own timeline, he gets pummeled RELENTLESSLY.

When he comes to the future, he kills freeza and king cold easily thanks to SSJ, but when he meets the androids they -=totally=- kick his ass.

Then he STARTS to beat on cell, but then cell kicks his ass.

Then he gets beaten up by a cell jr.

Then he gets killed by Cell.

Then, because he's been training and such, he goes back in time and kills the Android and First form cell. But that's sort of like if SSJ Goku travelled back in time and killing Nappa. No big deal now.

If you're good at melee, you can overcome. Trunks is not a nuke-spam-blast-easy-kill character. Learn to use his melee+ BA well. You may never be as effective with him as you would be with another character. But who cares, right? He's Trunks. Trunks is kewl. Even though he gets his ass beat all the time.

I think I like Trunks BECAUSE he's weak. Most of the other characters are just too powerful for their own good. Oh, and Goku is such a TOOL!

In terms of ESF, however, Trunks may be weak, but that makes him all the more fun to use, because he requires a different strategy than the others.

The sword would be a good additive to the game, even if it was just an animation, and doesn't actually effect the game at all.

Every character in ESF has its ups and downs and has its aquired taste. To say that one character is the worst is just to say that you can't use him as good as other ones. Trunks is a close range fighter. His burning attack has a small blast radius and his finishing buster is a small ball that goes fast for just that reason. Hes made to get in close. What I think makes people dislike him so much is the fact that he isn't a jack of all trades. Krillin has also been put down a lot but no one notes the fact that his energy never seems to diminish if your just swooping. What I'm trying to say is that the character you like depends on the way you play and if you don't like one character you should probably play with him because you'll most likely improve your game.

Every character can be the best. Its just the way you play with them that makes them the best. Heh, if you think trunks sucks you ovusily (uh i cant spell) havent used him enough or played agaisnt a good trunks player.

well, he does "suck" in speed and hp compared to characters like goku vegeta cell buu even gohan. His attacks are merely ok if u ask me, I don't see any reason why some1 would specificly be good with trunks, other then his sword in 1.1

His fast transformation is the same as gohans while gohan is a lot faster, and has better beams (all imho offcourse) his finishing buster is ok... u cant move while shooting it, so u can only move vertical. I tried him out today... my first time after a month again, and my final score was 93-20, he's an "OK" character.. but at this moment I rate him as the worst character unless some1 has a good reason why he should be "oh so cool"

practically I could set up a server with people only playing Trunks or get the boot,but I woyuldnt

because some people do not have the degree of skill to control Trunks,or heck even Krillin,hes more worse than him because of his weaknesses,but look at what you get when you transform,handicap lifted!

You just pretty much have to get used to playing with him,then you should be able to get some good scores,Im sure Naz got a rather good score in ESF with Trunks

besides,it's fun to watch people run around in panic when theyre hit with a BA

Man you guys need to see Dragon Ball GT Trunks Pan and Goku San "kid" become a bigger role even though goku was already a big role. If you haven't heard the story line, what happends is there are black dragon balls... some call them "evil dragon balls" "super dragon balls" or just plain "black dragon balls" Well they are found in the middle of kami's place, and they are super powerful of course but it has this stupid effect, where after you wish instead the dragon balls going around the world, instead they go around the universe, and worst of all they destroy the planet they were wished on after a certain amount of time, like a year. Well, anyways some one wished Goku to a "kid" form... it didnt make goku weaker it just made it so he had time to grow up and become stronger. Anways, Pan Goku and Trunks go around searching for the balls. Meanwhile the planet earth has to be looked over by Uub, vegeta, gohan and the rest of the z fighters. In the end of the series the dragon ball gt the dragon balls were wished too many times by evil people so the balls split into 7 evil people, the Evil Shenrons,(also goku formed with the other dragon, so he could do the most powerful move called "The Dragon Punch" in which the eternal dragon a yellowish form of the eternal dragon comes out of his hand and screws guys up) anyways goku ssj 4 and vegeta ssj 4 have to fuse together using the fusion and they become Gogeta SSJ 8, Although Vegeta needs the help of Bulma to make vegeta ssj 4 because vegeta is not as strong as goku.

P.S. I like trunks, not that hes the fastest melee but he has fast beam attacks making it so he can strike while they are down, also like piccolo's special beam cannon!

Trunks should have a larger ki pool if he's going to be beat entirely in speed like he is. How is the melee specialist going to be the slowest at it? He's not USSJ yet. He should go as fast as Goku, in my opinion. And if -anyone- references the show, they're crazy because ESF wouldn't make sense in the show's reference. You'd think a melee specialist would be the best at it both offensively and defensively, and would be at a rank higher than anyone else in the melee field. But how is Trunks a melee specialist when someone like Goku has an attack that blinds people longer, has a much higher speed, and even has attacks to fall back in for distance that completely kill anything Trunks can throw out. Trunks is beat.

Your telling me you like to get your ass beat down like a little whore. Strange people. Trunks isn't as weak as everyone makes him out to be, the trick to him is knowing how to using Burning ATtack, noobs just fire it off blindly at the enemy and hope to score a hit, it doesn't work like that.....

Anyways, trunks gets his punk ass smacked down by everyone who is even just a fraction more powerful than he is, he was a fool in the series.

i been playing esf for sometime now, i was previously in the z clan so i would consider myself talented.

Trunks is an amazing character, he is the 1st to go SSJ in the game, he has a beam which can blind people - this means that they cant see do you not understand that. When they cant see they cant fight back!

His backflip is the best out of all the characters, you are generally ssj enough to get used to it - as servers crash with goku sometimes you never go ssj.

His FB move is pretty much unblockable unless you see him charging it up - its just so stealthy.

His speed may be slower but it gives you more time to think and dodge a blocking person if you need to. Speed only makes a big difference if the speed difference is big 250-280 quite a bit but not much, however compared to cell he is slow.

In the TV program he is crap, crap history, crap fighter, nice sword, crap hair - looks like a german rock band
