No, it's not dramatic. After transforming into SSJ3 for the first time, he says "Sorry it took so long, I haven't been practicing much on it.".

There is also a SSJ stage 2 this is what Vegeta was trough the Cell sagas, when he thinks he ascended, it's still far from SSJ2 but it's a large KI increasement.
USSJ is stage 3 which is a huge muscle increasement with power comparable to SSJ2. I _think_ stage 3 is a failed attempt at SSJ2 but i'm not really sure.

Maybe the menu is a good choice because of gohan and the whole Kaioshin powerup thing, the team will have to decide on this some day, weither or not to let him go Mystic and/or SSJ, in DB it never really gets shown if he can go SSJ anymore.

uhh......could u guys just make some of the transformations unavailiable til u reach a certain powerlevel? because once u reach the level u could go to the menu and transform without having to press z two or three times.

I'm sure thats exactly what will happen, they more than likely will make it so that you will have to have a perfect TF level before you can reach the next level. To all of this bull**** about going straight SSJ3, even if it did happen once, it never did again, and was more than likely one of those many holes in the DBZ plot. It just wouldnt look cool to SSJ3 out of no where so why would you even want it.

id like to comment on the assj remark and the remark that says ussj is the same pl as ssj 2
my view on this is that you are absolutely wrong no such thing as assj and ssj 2 has a higher pl than ussj the 2 are completely different forms if you dont believe my check pojos sight dont make me post a link just go to an search engine and search for pojo dbz he is cousins with one of the voice actors and friends with the guy who published the oficial character and saga book his information is correct
