To get steam, or not to get steam?

Can anyone tell me if i should get steam? I've always been arguing about it and now am asking: should i give up denial and just get it over with?

well i was debating on the same thing. but then i gave steam a try and it runs better than won. so if i were you, i would make the move to steam.
besides, esf will be more focused on the steam releases than the won ones.

LOL in my case, i want to move to steam, but the darn steam version of the game wont dload for me..

I installed it, Half-Life actually runs smoother than on WON. I kinda like it. But i can't get the steampack, Everywhere i try to get it is down.
Anyone have a mirror?
BPS is down, and esf-world's file doesnt download.

Try getting the ESF Steam Installer from ESF-World (it's under essentials).

I would do that, but my only CD key is in registered on another user, so I can't use steam. WON only for me, until I get another retail key.

how do i work the dan strem thing
dl it then i couldnt get the 1.2 chat thingy to work because i dont have strem what do i do to get it to work im so lost
