how come when somebody transforms somebody can still hit you? you should have like a energy sheild around you and the shield should be able to break after like 2 spirit bombs

You cannot even charge one spirit bomb within the time it takes someone to transform....

Besides, what's to stop someone from abusing it to avoid any damage at all?
If I'm about to get nailed by a beam I might as well just transform to protect myself from it.

So transform when/where it's safe. There's a reason why transformations take less time the stronger you grow. Become invincible upon every transformation and there's nothing stopping people from abusing it the way Pain mentioned.
