So I am finding myself being bored at home after work, doing nothing for self development until weekend..

So what do you guys suggest I can do? (suggest everything, I will see all options first then calculate financial costs)

It can be things to do with friends or alone, it could be taking a class or a full on course, volunteer in someplace you think ill find interesting etc...

Seriously, everything you can think of possible doing in the middle of the week.

Maybe we will even other people who are bored in the middle of the week!
So what are your ideas?

Hobbies are always fun. You have to look deep inside you and find something that you think you'll enjoy. For my father, that was gardening. For me, it's running and making shoddy video games.

I don't think you should do the 100 push-up program. If you want to do something like that, you should be focusing on more than one group of muscles. If the only thing you do is pushups, those muscles will get huge and the surrounding ones will stay the same, and from what I understand, it's not good to have imbalances like that and you could possibly end up getting hurt. Plus, it'll look weird.

I'd say you should take up running, but that's just me, I love running. You might not even be able to run a continuous mile at first, but in a few months that will be easy and you'll be running 3 miles at a time. With some more practice it'll be 6 miles. There's a constant sense of progress, although it never gets easier, you just get faster and go farther. There's also nothing better than thinking you're about to collapse and quite possibly die, continuing regardless and reaching the goal. http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml

I've always admired people who were able to play musical instruments. Guitars are fun. I dunno though, like I said, you have to kind of look inside and find out what you're interested in.

I myself go to the gym. If you can find a friend to go with, it would be even better. Or you can start practicing some sport. I really want to start some martial arts because not only do you learn discipline, but you also keep fit - you might try it. Again, if you find someone to go with - even better.

No it's horrible...waste of time...

What I do go configure games, develop some programs, finding new ideas on internets about computers, play latest flash games and play MMO games that I never played for a few hours...

I don't suggest you to do any of the running thing Sub said, what I do prefer is to have as many females possible, change them every midweek, every tuesday and thursday for starters! Be a playboy, even if you just kiss them its all good, you will get better, exchange partners with your friends, live the life like all the people here wish they could, you have nothing to lose, go grab some boobs! GO GO GO! F HL! F reading!

Honestly, the 100 pushup program is awesome, all that I meant was that you should do it with other exercises, it shouldn't be the only workout you do.

Exercise is great, I prefer to learn new skills myself so my weight/muscle ratio isn't as stellar as I would like it to be.

Currently taking Violin lessons, constantly working on becoming a better "Harmonica...ist" (which is harder than it seems), played the guitar when I'm bored of video games, and just trying to make some music in my spare time.

I also like to fix shit with my tig welder. I'm not sure why, it's just very relaxing for me to re-attach small steel parts and keeping my beads flush.

I'm finding myself in the same situation, and I've started to do some home exercises and a little bit of running, it's a good feel and will never hurt :D Other than that I'm looking into to learn some programming, Objective-C for the iOS and OS X :) One thing that's been on my list is to learn how to play some simple chords on the piano and learn Logic Pro/FL Studio and work on some of the tunes I have in my head.

But yeah, exercise or learn something that you find is useful.

You could start learning how to play an instrument. Or get some kendo/karate/dancing classes( anything you like and didn't have the chance to do so far).

start playing an MMO, get into a new hobby maybe like AirSoft or Model RC cars/planes. It depends on how much of this "boredom time" you actually have each day. Airsoft or model RC can be expensive to start. if you have enough time pick up a job and start making some extra cash to do things on your days off. Airsoft is something that can be done very often or not so often at all. The group i play with only plays on Sundays for example.

Do you have a job? Getting a part time one might be something to consider...
