dont give up!
well, everyones first try looks like crap, but that sure looks better than mine.
um i wouldnt really know what to crit right now because i'm not a modeler, but i'm pretty sure someone would need flats and wireframes and more views to criticise your creation.

I could ****ing kill randy for making that damn tutorial. He's inspired, I don't know how many "half-Torso's" with that damn tutorial. My advice would be to switch to something other than Milkshape 3d. I would recommend giving Softimage's XSI a shot since it's more or less free, or Blender 3d it's a COMPLETELy free package. Both, are pretty good programs and fit any financial situation.

Blender would be a good choice cuz of its Pelt mapping feature. Or Xsi ,yeh also very nice with its features.

Anyway Milkshape had his glory time .... its time to change and face the truth. Milkshape is not Popular anymore.

thought the tits looks strange... and the flow of the polys is completly wrong but what should we expect? Try on.

If you keep saying what you do is "crap" then you might be forcing yourself to keep producing "crap."
Now, honestly, that's crap. Just kidding XD
It would look better if, on your chest, the polygons didn't overlap each other. Look at any other person's wireframe of anything and you'll notice that their lines and vertices aren't all over the place.

I believe Randy was talking about himself. He made that tutorial when he was 14 and he's improved greatly. So he feels a tad embarrassed. It's ok buddy :p
(buddy? I've never even talked to you. I've just seen you everywhere)

It doesnt matter if Milkshape isnt popular anymore...
It's easy? it gets the job done? thats all you need for a start =]

Im still using milkshape...yep, ever since I started till now, and I dont have any problems, very satesfied =D

I have been thinking on moving to a different problem but I am just...way to lazy to start learning a new program which is even more advanced...

You hit it right on the nail there mate =p

well anyways, it's true that ms3d is a great program to begin with when you're interested in modding with game engines such as HL and the quake series. If you want to go pro I recommend you start using max, cause it's a real b*tch to switch from one program to another, especially because they're using 2 entirely different modeling styles. (unless you're gonna boxmodel in ms3d, or use pbp in max >_<)

Hey atleast you're doing your best =D

Ok. I'm no modeler, so don't think of my comments too much. However, on your pecs, your polygons are overlapping. Check his other side for the way I would have done it. Not sure if it would work well, but you get what I mean by overlappage.
