IMO the Matrix was about the 733t fighting scenes. What action movies these days lack in plot... they amplify in cg animation and special effects.

I only liked the first one, then the Wachowski brother's pulled a George Lucas. Number two was sloppy. They made the fight scenes boring, they were too long, and quite frankly, not that interesting anyways.

The third one was well, I could get into a long blurb, but I fear it would be flame inducing, so I'll cut it off here.

Tank didnt die, he just didnt get another contract due to problems for the 2nd and third movie. but obviously he died (they say he did).

and guncon, what agents are you talking about? the 2 agents that were with smith in part 1?

they got deleted, because a better program (the upgrades) were there to replace it.

I personally think those are the best movies, tho I must admit that part 3 was a bit disappointing. but still, the movies really had an impact on me, and I think they rawked.

Number 1 was the bomb. Number 2 was good as well, but not equal to number 1. Number 3 was almost as good as 1 IMO. All three movies are pretty enjoyable and quality movies that no one should miss.

The original matrix pwned completely. It was innovative and amazingly sweeping...
As for the 2nd and 3rd, well the word is synonymous with the excess material that is released from your body after the proficient compounds were extracted.

I don't care what anybody says or tries to tell me. I'm in love (as much as a person can love a movie) with the Matrix trilogy. People can cry and whine about the 2nd and 3rd films. But I loved every sweet minute of it. I've played the game, watched the animatrix. I love how the whole Matrix universe transcends genres.

Revolutions come out tomorrow on DVD, I will for sure be at the store buying it as early as possible.

I liked the first one just because of how new and amazing it was. The awesome fight scenes, the innovative story, the never-before-seen "bullet time" effect. I found -nothing- wrong with it.

I liked the second one for the fighting, but everything about the second one was in excess. There's like a 5 minute long scene, all in bullet time, talk about overdoing it. The novelty of "the One" was kind of fading. I liked the 100 Agent Smith battle but when they got to the Chateau and they just kept pulling those weapons off the wall...bleh, I was getting bored. Morpheus was the man though, as was Seraph.

The ending just sort of made me go "meh." I enjoyed the fighting while it was on the ground. That "upside down" lobby scene was just stupid, though. What's cool about people that walk on the ceiling? Seriously. What were they thinking? I also hate how Smith completely lost his image, practically turning into a joke by the end... ah well.

Like many people said before me... I liked the first one the best. It managed to combine plot, action, humor, and drama in an incredible way. The 2nd and 3rd ones were good movies too, but I think the 1st one redefined how movies are made today.
